Even a average student with 60 % marks in the B.TECH can get good Rank in the GATE exam. To get good rank in GATE exam following five things required,
1. Interest,
2. Dedication,
3. proper plan,
4. proper preparation,
5. proper coaching ( institute or senior coaching).
1.Interest: Interest is the primary and mandatory thing to get success. Without interest you can't achieve any thing.
2. Dedication: Dedication keeps your interest full time. In teenage we frequently change our interests about career ( whether go for higher studies or job). Journey on two boats( job or higher study) is no longer safe, choose one boat( higher studies).
3.Proper plan: keep in mind about competition for the GATE exam. Not only you writing the GATE exam, thousands of other students writing the GATE exam, so you have to come up with better(good) plan than others plan. Proper plan makes you half way success.
4. proper preparation: With good preparation average or poor student get good result, and without preparation brilliant student couldn't get good result. Find out your strengths and weaknesses in subjects, more concentrate on your favorite subjects(but keep in mind about subject weightage , I think in GATE maths have good weightage 20-25 marks).
5. proper coaching: better to take coaching institute help to get good results in short time. They will provide useful material and tips for preparation. In Hyderabad, ACE coaching center is a famous GATE coaching center. You can take coaching in summer( May , June and July).
