Career guidence after 10th in INDIA

Career Guidance after 10th

Career is a very integral part of our lives, because our entire lifestyle eventually depends on the kind of career we have. Our growth in life mainly depends on the nature and the success ratio of our career. 10th standard is considered as the foundation base as it gradually shapes the outline of our careers. After the completion of 10th standard, almost every student faces the dilemma as to what should be their next plan of action. Since there are many options that a student can opt for after the completion of 10th standard, many people often remain confused about their course of action.

Basically there are three major streams such as science, commerce, and arts that are available for students after the completion of 10th standard. The choice of selecting a particular stream completely depends on the student. Depending on the marks acquired by a student during the 10th standard and also it is important for the student to select a stream in accordance to his interest. At times many students cannot get into their favorite stream because they have not attained sufficient marks in their 10th standard exams. The marks attained during the 10th standard exams hold a lot of importance because the entry into the 11th standard is mainly done on the basis of these marks. Therefore, it is important to work hard during the 10th standard, so that you can get good marks and eventually get selected into their favorite stream.

After the completion of 10th standard one needs to take some time off and decide about the career path that he wants to follow so that all the other choices can be made accordingly. Decisions related to career should not be taken in a hurry and even the parents should participate in this important process. It is also necessary to remain focused towards one’s career so that they do not get confused with the opinions given by people around them. For students who want to opt for the science stream should have some interests in subjects like physics and mathematics and these subjects are the most important subjects in this stream. After the 10th standard, one can also start preparing for the medical or engineering entrance exams. 10th standard grades are also important for students who want to choose the commerce stream. The career options available after the completion of the 10th standard are diverse and at the end of the day it totally depends on the student as far as selecting the career path is concerned. There are a lot of career counselors who can provide appropriate career options depending on the marks procured by the student for the 10th examinations. Proper guidance by both parents and teachers are necessary for students who are in their 10th standards because it is one of the most crucial milestones in a person’s career. At this age, many people are not adept enough to make mature decisions, which would help them to build their careers; hence they should be given the necessary guidance.
